The Remaining Names on My List

Just got done regging all the remaining names on my list. To my surprise, about half of them were already gone since I checked them about a month ago. But I reg'd the other half for two years.

Based on the prices we've seen today, I thought I had better register everything with over 2,000/day wordtracker because it's all going to be gone very soon! Virtually all of them were adult domains.

No more .mobi hand reg's for me, I'm completely done now.

You're planning to out-source the content provision of course, right?

One must keep in mind RENEWAL FEES of .MOBI's (and all extensions, of course)! It seems super obvious, I know ... but specific to the .MOBI is the developed "ecosystem" and then public awareness and promotions of the extension - factors tied into one's investement (including renewals) in .MOBI, IMHO.
Just my two sense.

Yes, Jeff, this is very hard on me.. about 6 hundred dot mobis

all I can say is NO MORE!

Even in times of renewal, one must remind themselves of the hopes of the Forever being on the record, as the domain registrant..

Well, I'm not really that deep into it, but enough. I've got 338 right now. Letting about 100 drop. So, I'll be left with about 238 to renew every year. About $2,400 per year. Not too bad for the possible return later on.

$200/month is steep in my book ... if you don't mind me asking G, what is your ROI thus far in .MOBI's? Are you actively developing your best domains, as well?

Thanks for the assist, and please feel free to PM as well.

I was going to sell most of them, because i have development plans for a dozen or so. I sold one, but had no offers on the rest, but then again I really didn't hit the promotion very hard, only one thread in the .mobi forum.

I am willing to renew the 238 for a few years, and see where we are at that time. I'm a risk taker.

"singling out" life necessities

Steep opportunity costs wasted with my life if my site development .mobi prowress (WorldRadio.mobi) proves too slow for my life to play out for my hopes to live online as a domainer with renewals; currently, can't easily afford my own basic survival needs let alone be able to cough up for various sources of children (& future wifes)

In Surrender,

Yelo

True Jeff, and that is exactly what I am doing. I believe that investing in this extension early is very much a calculated risk.

And the more generic, the lesser the risk.
