Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I just noticed that on EVERY page you go to on Sedo at the top is the .mobi logo with the words "Partner of .mobi"

Of course they are doing the auctions, but I didn't realize they were an official partner with mtld. That is very nice to know. Great exposure for .mobi, even if it is only in the domainer world. This certainly would make domainers stand up and take notice that this is the extension of the future.

Edit: Now the logo has disappeared! Maybe they were testing it out or something.

Didn't want to post it in case it had my affiliate code in, but if you click on the little .mobi ad on the home page you'll see it.

The logo also appears on each individual .mobi auction listing that you click on from there.

Yeah, for me it just appears on the consolidated .MOBI listings page and then when I click on each individual ongoing auction (for instance, Loans.mobi) IMHO. I don't think there's any "big news" here forthcoming regarding Sedo & mTLD other than these auctions that end this week, in my view!

PS. It looks like Free.mobi has met its "Reserve price" (current bid $6,200), as well!

Update: Right now the logo does appear on every page as Garrett reported - even on the home page (yes, seriously) but only if you get there from a .mobi auction listing or another .mobi focused page.

If you then close the home page and just type sedo.com, there is no sign of a .mobi logo.

Now I can confidently predict that Jeff will have fun with that, so I might just as well say it myself: whether or not Sedo are proud to be a partner of .mobi appears to depend on whether or not you already have enough interest in .mobi to have visited one of the .mobi pages.

I guess it's called tailoring the message to the audience :-)

Does everyone else's browser show the same conditional presence/absence of a logo?

d'x, do you see the logo on sedo's home page (as opposed to the home mobi listing page) after you close all sedo pages and just type sedo.com in the browser's address bar?

Yeah MC, not as parter of .mobi but on the right of the sedo front page. below the log in box there is a box equal in sz as log in box w/ mobi logo in blk/white and flash changing Mobi AD saying.., The first premium dot mobi auction /Credit, Pets, Sell .mobi/ Check out the auction activity now!/running through oct. 3rd. only thing that flashes on their front page. lol

I see what you are saying MC-can't get the partner of .mobi on top of the front page if I was coming to Sedo from my browser or even if I look at some .com name on one of their auction pages and then move back to Sedo home page.., can't see the partner of .mobi on top. Its like visiting someone's house who changes their framed wall pictures depends on who is visiting them for dinner.

Anyways here is a paragraph from Sedo's page about the auction

I think that they want to be on the up and coming MOBI TRAIN so why not be an affiliate with a new tld? I think they would be foolish if they didn't associate in some way or form an affiliation with mtld.

Scandiman, we were just having fun with the fact (at least it was a fact yesterday) that they only tell you so on their home page if you've already demonstrated enough interest in .mobi to appreciate the partnership :-)

Different people may see that as either clever or crafty (and many probably as a bit of both); not sure if it was a bored techie that came up with the 'conditional home page logo' idea or somebody in marketing/management.
