TeeTimes.mobi on SEDO -> $ 10.000!!!

I was surprised to see that I received a bid of $ 10.000 for TeeTimes.mobi!!! With all the premium .mobi auctions running at the moment, the bidder has to be an enduser. Not a domain speculator. And a speculator wouldn't bid $10k on this domain is my guess, although is is a beautiful domain!

If you play golf, then you know that TeeTimes.mobi is one of the best or maybe THE BEST domain for a mobile online GOLF booking website.

I really hope that TeeTimes.com, or teetimes.co.uk, or teetimes.nl, or tee-times.info, teetimes.de or another active Tee Time website is after this one ;-)

Is this a $10k offer then you send it to auction OR you list it to auction directly by contacting broker@sedo.co.uk?

I could remember you mentioned in your earlier thread that this domain has received several $xxxxx bids last year, you didn't consider those offer at that time?

Nice, Stijn!! Good luck with the auction. I'm developing bogey.mobi into a golf site and hope to have it ready in a few weeks. But TeeTimes may be one of the best golf-related mobis out there.

I've send it to auction after a bid from yesterday. the strange thing is that my minimal bid was not $ 10k, but something like € 5000. Why would someone offer 10k at once?

Indeed, earlier I received some bids (by PM on Namepros) on this one. I dont know how much it was exactly, but it was low xx,xxx. It was in a very ealy stage. A couple of months later I contacted the same person again. He was still interested, but wouldn't pay more than x,xxx at that time.

One bidder (thus far) and "Reserve met" ... I cannot wait to see who the purchaser is here and what specific plans they have for its .MOBI development and promotion, IMHO.

PS. I'm went golfing last Friday, and this really would have come in handy!

That one extra word makes it one whole word less good. You can "book," or "reserve," or a number of other verbs indicating the same thing, but it's always "tee times" that you're doing it to...

I mean, mortgages.mobi went for 25K. Not to compare this name to that one, but once you start getting into XX,XXX you're in a different league, and this name just doesn't seem to meet that level.

Imho, 'teetimes' fits the extension perfectly, while 'mortgages' doesn't fit the extension at all. I think 10k is a very reasonable price for an enduser.

I just went 9-holes this afternoon with a client ... and the guy at the Club Shop said folks call all the time to check availability and book tee times, IHHO. That provides a LOT of hope for such an online service, and for use potentially by mobile users and those travelling and/or "on the go" IMHO. I really hope these guys have bid the $10g's for it, and plan on developing -and promoting- it for this specific use!
