What does Travelocity™ (versus the "Press Release") have to say regarding their adoption of the .MOBI ... its use, expectations, branding, and promotion & advertising etc. ITHO's?

Thanks again for any additional information.

they are a corporate entity not capible of HO's...

the recent names... AAA, Zagat, Travelocity... are huge because they are very trusted go-to resources by many!!!

I've read the comments from Zagat in the previously referenced "Press Releases" that state:
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=368322
Quote:
"ZAGAT Survey has always taken a 'platform agnostic' approach to
helping consumers make smart decisions on where to eat, drink, stay or
play. We make our content available to them however and wherever they need
it," said Nina Zagat, Co-Founder and Co-Chair of ZAGAT Survey. "ZAGAT.mobi
is the latest way we are achieving this goal."
Substance.

My question here ... for both corporate AAA™ and now Travelocity™ ... is there more information (preferably links that can be provided in this space) directly from those companies regarding the use and expectations of their respective .MOBI's (like Nina Zagat's above)?

Thanks again, we should always strive to scratch a bit deeper than paid "Press Releases" IMHO.
-Jeff

PS. Owners, directors, presidents, and so forth CAN have opinions ... these are what I'd like to see (and read)!

And I just went to travelocity.com on my new cellphone - guess what - it worked. And for giggles I did the same thing for travelocity.ca - it worked.

And now they have a mobi domain for the older phones. Wow.

Seems simple. Just go to their sites and look for that info!! Then you can report your findings to us, instead of asking us for that info!! Makes sense huh!

I'm not complaining about anything - just stating the findings of my trial. I honestly expected to be redirected to the mobi but wasn't. Maybe they haven't figured that part out yet.

Shifting the burden in both cases, particularly as the O.P. here, is not very enlightening or reassuring, IMHO.

Surely you can provide more substance, correct friend?

I went to travelocity.com on my blackjack (a model that isn't a year old yet). It loaded the whole site, and it took forever. It was also a pain in the ass to use.

Wow.

What is with this extension? We have a Press Release here from MTLD telling us about some .mobi's from some HEAVY HITTERS, that ARE DEVELOPED AND BEING USED!!!

Why all the controversy? I seriously think there are people out to discredit this extension, for whatever reason.

Could it be that you're about to start losing traffic (and money) on your .com's, and you want to do everything you can to discredit this extension?

Why do so many naysayers come out of the woodwork every time there is great news about this extension? I can only think of one reason: MONEY.

Unbelievable.

Whoa.., Is there some rules, or posting ettiquite here, that mostly everyone here must also be missing?? How/why is an OP of a thread supposed to be researching and including massive amounts of detailed info to coinicide with posted notices too? And as there is, has been, and will continue to be! only one person who asks for that irrelevent and inmaterial info, ...why??

boy, you sure do work at it, to give one reason to wonder!!

The .com losing traffic is what I have been thinking for awhile now. Glad you mentioned it.

By the way, the news is stellar! Thanks hawkeye
