when i saw the title of this thread i thought exactly this... dotMobi section maybe should have a sub-section to news cuz theyll be more and more everyday

Let's not get carried away here ... developed corporate ™ .MOBI websites along with their advertising and promotions (including corporate information links and direct linking of the .MOBI's from their main .COM sites) is newsworthy, IMHO. Lots of what has been posted lately, though, is repetitive not necessarily as "newsworthy" but simply more of H.Y.P.E. in my humble view.

When will the 500 premium .MOBI's be going on sale (versus RFP'd!), and which specific ones? How will it be ensured that these sales will result with unique and compelling mobile content from End users and developers? What is the status with Sports.mobi, as well as the .MOBI default button on .MOBI backer's devices (at the very least)? This is all important news that we should be getting (from mTLD), in my view.

Just my two sense.

I just hate it when i'm reading a thread, called e.g. "Boston Globe readers see Zagat.mobi on Sunday" and then it goes way off topic talking about 500 unreleased premium names. JMO

If a subsection for mobi news postings - otherwise referred to as HYPE - is not called for at this time, then individual postings will continue as permitted.

I felt that this deserved mention because it was in a Sunday newspaper in a major US city, in the hands of endusers - people who will go zagat.mobi and try it. This I feel is very different than domainers/developers hearing announcements since we are already tuned in to it. Not at all repetitive hype.
