AAA.mobi

Not much else to say

Not only have they developed this beauty & it's perfect for mobile application in usage, but no redirects either. Sorry, i know that may disappoint a few. They may struggle to find any negative outlets for this, i'm sure they'll give it a go, LOL

They also saw it worthwhile to go after the fake tm holder in China i believe.
They got it & dveeloped this honey.
Hopefully not many other top firms are being held up this way.
I mean aaa could aply to many firms all over the world. Glad these boys got it. They're rather large, aren't they?

You know, been a great week for mobi.

It's good to see, from what I can tell thus far from the post, that Triple AAA™ - American Automobile Association : Road & Travel Services has safely secured and developed (as a stand-alone website) AAA.mobi, IMHO.

Do you have a link to the news / information (I wasn't able to locate anything on the main AAA.com website at first blush, IMHO).

Thanks much for the post, this is what I and others have been looking for ... substance. Major promotions and marketing - including from the main .COM - will be an important follow-up here, IMHO.

Jeff, why don't you get right on that for us!! You would be the one they would spill their corporate agenda and plans to, because you need to know that kind of info to be convinced that they are serioius in their mobi endevours. And of course they, like us, just really want you to be convinced and pacified of their mobi intentions before we actually discuss their site, so I'm sure they will give it to you. You have posted so often when a new site is found that if we could get that type of info we'd be better off. We are all so needing to know every companies budget and marketing plans when it comes to their mobi sites, so we too can be convinced of the merits of corporations and whether or not they are serious on their .mobi intentions. Good grief is right. This has to be one of the most ridiculous expectations of information put forth, especially the budget. Companies rarely go and communicate their ad budgets unless they are showboating, making their budget yet another facet of their marketing. This smells of the equally ridiculous ongoing demands for confidential financial details into the agreements between mTLD and their backers, creating unrealistic expectations that will never be met, thus making the illusion that mTLD is less than forthcoming.

This is excellent news

Any company can purchase a .mobi (or UDRP one) and redirect it to their mainpage. I, for one, hold no value in that. But to sit down and actually develop it is nothing short of newsworthy IMHO. AAA is a very large company and certainly among the most well known. With a little promotion, this could be the biggest thing to hit .mobi since BOFA.

I look forward to seeing a CAA.mobi (their Canadian division) in the near future

Reece, if you look up aaa.mobi, Amtrak.mobi, Foxnews.mobi, etc on a mobile phone, you can't tell it's a redirect as the address doesn't show. And I highly doubt anyone, besides an anal domainer, would know or care that the site is a redirect or not. They got the site and info they were looking for and now they're on their way in life. They are not going to say 'Oh my God, there's no value in this site because it redirects!'.

I called AAA™ and the corporate voice mail message said it was "after business hours" (which is about what I expected) and it referred me to "visit their website AAA.com"!

I'll try to call again before vacation ... Arnie, where did you find this information / link?
The only other related item that I was able to locate this evening, is the link: http://mobile.aaa.com ... which seems to redirect to the .MOBI ( http://aaa.mobi/mcs/Login.do? )?!!

I'll remind them that the Whois info is still registered under HULA CHU, as well. Will keep you folks posted ...

You misunderstood me, or perhaps my recent hate on mtld has had you see G&D about me through your rosy .mobi colored glasses™

When I said redirect, I meant a silly redirect to their .com -- not a m.aaa.com or aaa.com/mobile, rather an aaa.com.

What I was referring to was that I hold no value in a company that purchases a .mobi but does nothing with it or in example, redirects it to their .com mainpage which is NOT mobile compliant.

I have nothing against an aaa.com/mobile or m.aaa.com, although I do prefer aaa.com/mobile over the latter. Ideally it would be .mobi though
