How about "The European Union", info and travel information, hotel info, soccer sports info, recent European Union news, info and exchange rates of the common currency (The Euro). An informational site on The European Union.
Someone else mentioned this, but this one would be "the" instead of "travel". Either one would work, I suppose. But the acronym does spell the actual name of the place, why not use that!
Also, if you do it this way it can be used for MUCH MORE than travel information. You can also target the tens of millions of people living there to use it too! (Remember how much more popular .mobi is in Europe now than in the U.S.)
