| Senior Member | What is the value of L-N.mobi and LNL.mobi? I was checking some of the L-N and LNL combinations and was surprised that majority of L-N and LNL combinations are taken. does it really hold any value? even in long term? does any of the fellow N'pers members have any L-N and/or LNL combination mobi?If yes, have anyone sold any of these combo? If yes then at what price? Any opinion../ feedback would be appreciated. Thank you. |

| DNOA Certified Seller | These regs are almost all just speculations. L-N.com's and LNL.com's have some value, so people are banking on .mobi's sharing in their success in the future. For now, though, it is impossible to put an actual dollar amount on the general combination due solely to the lack of sales data. Of course there are certain names that would stand out: K-9.mobi A-1.mobi V-8.mobi V-6.mobi D-8.mobi H-8.mobi <----available

| Account Suspended | I would look for (and have actually regged many) LLN or NLL or keep it in sequence rather than break them up. As in 2SS.mobi. "2" on the phone keypad is the letter "A" so I have a variation of ASS. Same with SE9.mobi (sex). Is there a market for these? Perhaps. Some are getting numerous hits while parked. This is a suitable cryptic and innocent appearing number should someone get nosey and want to see who you have been calling or where your eyes have been roaming. But I am not sure of the LNL or NLN breaking it up too much and I have steered away from those. Go to whi.ms and scroll down to the bottom of the left sided menu. I have not updated this in a while but you will find thousands and thousands of available combos. To assist you search and make the words, open another window with t9.com. Here you can get an idea of potential three letter word combos. Good luck and happy hunting! |

So be creative and perhaps there will be some good pickings. Mind boggling, isn't it? The number of possibilities. I would rather look for strong words in languages but will never turn down something that just makes good ol' fashioned sense. Plus I am surprised at the number of hits that the LLN and NLL have been getting. It's not a fluke...this has been going on for months now.

My justification for number combos is NO OTHER extension made more sense to even consider numbers as a standard more than .mobi. Phone keypads are notorious for numbers (yuk, yuk, yuk) and would you know...that's what mobi is for. But I also was well aware of the increased push towards IDN and ccTLD's and all the other chaos that the internet may soon be seeing and if there is one universal standard in languages is numbers...they all represent the same value. As for numbers corresponding to a letter of the alphabet, there also appears to be a trend away from this, that being the English (Latin) alphabet. I have seen spec sheets and tradeshows featuring phones with no Latin alphabet but again Chinese (Korean and Japanese also) characters on the keypads. I do not think that any one nation is more tech savvy than those of the Asian nations. Not to mention most of the cell phones and portable devices and computers we use are developed, designed, tested, and manufactured in those countries long before release and use in our markets. I can not (and will continue to do so) stress enough to monitor global trends. Not only for the .mobi crowd, but also the .com crowd. If you were to look at a map of the world and color in the spread of trends and the direction of flow you'll see something very interesting. So keep an eye to the Far East and look for signals of what is to come. And if .mobi goes IDN? Good Lord, what a mess all of this will be not to mention a whole new market for us to consider.
