Everytime I log into Bank of America online to check my balance or whatever, a screen always pops up telling me to do their mobile banking through bofa.mobi.

That is exactly the type of promotion that we need. Did anything like this synergy between global providers and the TLD happen when .us or .tv launched?

There are a few concurrent BOFA.mobi threads running ... I commented in another that this seems to be a stand-alone developed corporate .MOBI website, IMHO. This is significant to the "ecosystem", as it was - if I recall - simply "pointing" to the .COM/mobile/ version earlier!

It will be interesting to watch for further mainstream advertising for BOFA.mobi ... as well as promotions amongst its customer base (I personally haven't received mail specifically noting the new site / extension, and the Customer Service woman earlier today simply referred my to the main BankOfAmerica.com page).
Question for the OP: Did you receive this in the mail mail, or via email ... and are you a banking customer of B.O.A.?

Not to change the topic, but I have been thinking about this for sometime about Bank of America and there launch of this which is really great. Now What if all of us .mobi people just send an email to their coporate personal banking institution and show them the link to the BOFA.mobi site?....And ask them if they have mobile banking set up yet?.....It may wake them up and provide a good spark for .mobi!

You read my mind. My bank owns their .mobi and I used their website feedback system to tell them about BofA.mobi and also told them to get on the ball and build their .mobi before I switch banks.

I have read news about Bank of America rolling out mobile banking services via bofa.mobi. I am wondering when I can use citi.mobi to do banking on my cellphone.
