Right now I primarily am coding in Dreamweaver but am also using textwrangler. For simple stuff people can try out mobisitegalore.com. It's gotten much better with its version 2.0 release.

Believe it or not, I still use notepad most of the time. I do have Dreamwaver, and I do use it sometimes, but it's too slow for me.

Never used Notepad since I am an Apple cultist. Dreamweaver can be handy in terms of using templates that can be edited to update entire sites. Plus their integrated FTP system is not too shabby. But it certainly isn't free.

I use Crimson Editor -- Syntax highlighting is essential, plus it's free!

PSPad and RadRails (now part of Aptana)

I've never heard of the Crimson Editor, Charlie. It looks pretty neat. I'll have to try it out.

Thanks Charlie - trying it out, and works great so far - been using Notepad, but I like the color coding to find stuff in a hurry... free too - sweet. No hidden trojans I hope
