Who is "I"?
And so what happened about the interview? Did it take place?

Here was another organised effort to have Neil Edwards answer some questions. I notice that quite a few Namepro's regulars posted questions on there. It's weird that one hears nothing from Neil anymore. Even the "gloves off" letter by our forum member Reece on the DOTMOBI TYPEPAD did not provoke Neil enough to come out of hiding and reply. Instead Caroline Greer gave some sort of wishy washy answer. And what's happened to Pinky?

There has been no concrete news on anything .Mobi from the Mtld for a long time now. What are they really up to? Is something actually happening behind the scenes?

Some good thoughts both from you Binaryman and from some of the people whom commented on Podleaders.

I still do not understand why Mr. Edwards chose to do his interview via Podleaders (Alexa Rank >2,000,000) as opposed to Namepros (Alexa Rank <1,700). A little difference there!

It appears to me, and many others it seems, that Mr. Edwards is trying to distance himself as much as possible from us domainers...

In a weird reverse psychology kind of way, this somehow makes me have better faith in the extension (I told you it was weird!!). He's not as interested in cashing in immediately on the earnings that could be had by "playing" to us domainers. I've come to believe Mr. Edwards is a bit more intelligent than he appears at face value.

Regardless of whether he is or not, all the recent news on .mobi has given me the faith to invest more into the extension. The more and more I carefully analyze what mtld does, it seems more and more to me that they're trying to convince us domainers that .mobi isn't the gem it appears (to "optimists") to be.

I'm currently working on optimizing my parked names. Afterwards, it's back to development on my site and perhaps even redirecting my names away from parked pages, to my site in the near future. My top 30 names have gotten 280 views collectively in the last week -- granted none of my names are related to anything mobile in nature, this continues to reinforce my confidence in the extension and in the value of quality names, regardless of what mtld (or others) may throw at us to keep us off track.

Thnx Reece
Just listened to the podcast now.
And I must say I'm not that impressed at all. Neil does not offer anything new. Seems to me there is no campaign of any sort coming at all to tickle consumer awareness. All the revenue generated by the sales of .Mobi thus far is going where? Sure a persentage was spent on .Mobi developers tools but that's a small persentage of total revenue. I also dont like the mans style(never have from the beginning actually) He sorta hums and hahs along and does not inspire any confidence. When I first saw photo's of him at various meetings and events it struck me that he only has one tie, a red one.( Maybe he has more then one red tie) But he always has a red tie and he looks kinda sloppy, not businessman like. His suit and tie dont cover up well for him. He struck me as a bit greasy and sleasy looking sorry to say. But I thought oh well dont judge a book by it's cover and lets see if he can make true all he promises. Well time has gone on and we are now 9 months down the road from then and I fear my first impressions were not so unfounded after all.
Well I still hope I'm wrong but I am starting to worry that .Mobi is going to fizzle out like a damp squid sooner then later if this style of management and promotion of .Mobi is going to continue as it has up to now.
