I did not saw this earlier on another site. I was searching for

"inurl: google.mobi" (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...bi&btnG=Search)

this was one of the 9 results

I was not afraid and I will not be afraid anymore. Google will DEFINITELY use the mobi domain. Im 100% sure. Its a matter of time...

http://groups.google.mobi/group/proksi is NOT a redirect to groups.google.com. That is the big news. The rub is that it scores a 2/5 on the ready scale.

It's indisputable and I've witenessed it for myself.

Fact is, Google™ are backing the .mobi TLD. It won't be long before we see the proper Google.mobi site up & running, IMO.

Also, think about all of Google's subdomains (e.g. groups.google.com).

It would be so much easier for them to make mobile sites for all of those using .mobi (e.g. groups.google.mobi) rather than have to use groups.m.google.com which just looks ugly to me anyway!

I've seen Google advertise maps.google.com. Can't see them advertising m.maps.google.com for maps on your mobile phone, IMO.

maps.google.mobi looks much cooler

I don't quite understand, Google.mobi works right now. I use google.mobi on my phone and it sucks for mobile search because the results are not mobile friendly. Hopefully that will change.

As for redirects, I don't find much significance in them right now one way or another. All I care about is if the .mobi url is the marketed brand.
