My Number One question is a statement - Please consider the long term value of placing the premium names still held by dotMobi in the RFP process so they will be developed rather than auctions where they end up parked.

Got to post your questions at the other site to be of any use. These are questions I posted there:

1: What has happened to the first RFP?

2: Are all Premium names still going to be released in the first 2 years?

3: What percentage of Premium names will be released via RFP versus auction?

4: Can you provide some specifics regarding the financial investment of the Corporate investors?

5: Will the code compliance be enforced? If so, when?

6: What advertising and consumer awareness efforts will mTLD be doing to promote .mobi to the public? When will we see this happening?

How about how much of the revenue earned from non-refundable RFP application fees is going towards mobi brand awareness.

If nothing else, the one thing that I personally feel is a CONCERN ... is that the good folks here in the very active, always engaging .MOBI Forum™ are not visited regularly by those at mTLD, IMHO.

Perhaps this may change in the near future? I just don't know anymore.
Just my two sense.

Maybe they are to busy counting all their money earned on Reg fees and RFP APPLICATIONS fees to be bothered with us.

I have lost faith a while ago in the way they are handling the extension and RFP process. There is no excuse for some of those names not to be developed. On top of it how can they not be able to personally post here and answer our questions. I would be willing to bet that NP is the driving force in the .mobi aftermarket today.

In my opinion here is there Revenue Model:

Step 1. Open market 2 year minimum high reg prices. Sell as many as possible.
Step 2. Market slows down, lower prices to sell more.
Step 3. No more 2 year minimums. Sell more names.
Step 4. Announce another RFP. Collect more application fees. Delay releasing .
Step 5. Release a few names via RFP, build hype, and then announce public auction of remaining held names. Make more $$$.
Step 6. Do a .info and almost giveaways remaining names.
Step 7. Laugh all the way to the bank.

Once reg's slow down you will see them starting to dump their held names on the over inflated open market and then quietly coast on renewal fees for the years to come.

To me I treat the mobi as just an extension. I develop all my sites so it does not really matter to me what the D2D market does. I am not bullish on the extension I am only a fan of it as it makes it easier for a consumer to determine a mobile site from a normal site. I believe that anyone who has a quality, relevant name for the extension should develop it if they truly want to see the extension succeed.

Hopefully more insight and information coming very soon!
