Does your significant other support your mobi investment??

I am at about 375 mobis now with a list of 40-50 more I would like to reg. My wife says enough is enough. I guess I have made my last purchase for now. What is your partners take on this whole mobi thing?

I'd be looking for a new Mrs.Sniper.

Seriously, when I caught wind of a multi billion dollar project slated for an area I went out and regged about 150 domains related to the project. When I mentioned it to her she "tried" to come up with some of her own.

Agree.

My wife (and none - I mean, zero - of her friends, family, or co-workers) have never even heard of the .MOBI, IMHO. Each one of these people has a cell phone, as well ... and with the exception of a couple of them ... all are highly educated, tech savvy, and well read, as well. It's not very encouraging as a .MOBI owner myself, humbly!

Thanks for the interesting post.

Lol! I'll be keeping a close eye on the remaining few I like in case she has a change of heart.

She was supportive for the first few hundred and then she put her foot down. I see her side but it's tough to watch great names get snatched up when they could have been mine.

Oppurtunities like this dont come everyday. Remember, once the names are gone they are most likely gone for good! Good luck to all that have chosen to invest in mtld.

My wife supports my domaining, and she likes the mobi concept. I thus support her shopping, and need of more shoes concept.

Most people that I have talked to have never heard of .mobi either. It will only take 1 or 2 major companies to promote the ext. and the whole world will know about it. Whether they accept it or not is a different story. I'm banking on this thing going huge and then maybe my wife will let me buy some aftermarkets with the profits.

I have about a hundrend and so far all is ok at home. I think it's because I've had offers that would cover me (us) plus I've recouped some already. We'll see how it goes when I pick up a few more resales this week instead of getting new furniture.

I try to explain it. She does understand. But what she understands most is our land purchases and sales as being "real" estate vs. "virtual" real estate.

Of course, she likes the money some of the domains have brought in also.

My wife doesn't mind... because I divorced her in 2002. Anyway, domaining is ten times more exciting than she ever was lol

As for mobis, I've also got a couple of pages of decent ones I'd love to register.
