Sudden traffic increase?

Probably not a big deal since no offers were submitted, but got about 12 hits on one of my poker.mobi's yesterday and 2 hits the day before. First hits for this name after 2 months plus of being parked at sedo.

Anyone have any idea why someone would do this? I'm guessing its the same person for all the hits.

Thanks!

Something is amiss (there are several threads on this very topic (see post above)), IMHO. I'm just hoping that there is nothing nefarious going on (.MOBI "traffic" hype, artificial .MOBI "hits", and at its worst, click fraud), IMHO.

Caveat: I am talking in a larger sense ... and not accusing anyone, individually, of any of these things! It just seems like something is suddenly off here, in my view.

Its possible that companies like yahoo are now scouring the web, preparing inclusion for their search engines or possibly other companies?

I have noticed an increase in ALL of my mobi names even the ones with low OVT, so I think its reasonably safe to conclude that its something to do with a search engine scan.

:)

I've been surfing alot with that http://mstart.mobi

Its kinda like a hopeful future forecast I hope Yahoo, Google, and MSN will respect keywords in the .mobi heavily weighted (SEO) as they have been rising in the dotcom for "PC Sites" (for names with hardly any backlinks even too)

Kind Regards,

Yelo
