All these websites range from sportstalkradio to casino dtp printing.

It is good to see so many websites with .mobi extension.

what do you think?

Hi Jeff,

try searching it on google.com

just enter this in google search box -----> site:mobi (no quotes)

google will show all the websites that has .mobi extension.

if you look at the top right bar it shows 1,140,000 for site:mobi (0.06 seconds)

even i was surprised to see so many websites with .mobi extension.

Exactly. Google never shows each Web site just once...it shows multiple pages from each.

Results 491 - 500 of about 173,000 from *.mobi. (0.21 seconds)

narrows it down alittle...and I couldn't find any with a .mobi/anypagename
when I search this way...

Thanks mis_chiff. But even this widely overestimate the number of real sites. A lot have .mobi adresses, but are not at all mobile sites and would not work from a mobile.

(but it was good to discover that one of my names where I just put underconstruction two months ago is 14 out of 2400 for the French pages; it gives some motivation to develop

site:mobi im pretty sure would bring back results for mobiwebsite.com. also many of them are landers for registrars or for sale pages.

Good points ... I remember running a similar query a few weeks ago, and there were TONS of indexed "parked" (including Registrars, Sedo, Afternic, etc.) .MOBI's (those shouldn't count as "developed" or "up and running" websites, obviously)! The actual percentage of developed .MOBI's is quite miniscule ... compared with the amount of registrations, IMHO.

I know it's got nothing to do with the thread (as far as google search) itself but Mobisitegalore.com reports 2973 active sites launched since it's start. I don't think that is all too bad
