| Senior Member | hmmm .. where's jeff to point out and question the redirect? anyhow .. wierd for them to heavily promote the .mobi in the press release, but not have it resolve ... i guess it will just be easier for some companies to promote the .mobi and let the site actually default to something else.

The question is what will they promote? mobileportal.se, with no reference to the name of the company? If I try flysas.com with my mobile I don't get the mobile site, there is no autodetection. EDIT: If you go to this subject http://www.namepros.com/dot-mobi/285...n-current.html you will see other major new ones like amtrak.mobi or polo.mobi

| Senior Member | SAS board meeting: web director: Hey everyone, we now have a website that people can go to on their mobile phone! CEO: That's great! What's the address? web director: Well, let me get my notes, let's see here...its mobileportal.se/?__redir=1&si=sasint&lang=en CEO: WTF?? Marketing Director: Can't you just use SAS.mobi? Didn't we buy that a while back? Web Director: Sure! No problem, we'll just redirect it. CEO: Great, let's go with SAS.mobi, I just read about that new .mobi in the WSJ. |
