That's a good price. I am sure both buyer and seller are happy. I would rather be on the buying end of that one personally.

agreed...could be a killer domain no matter what the extension as a whole does...I picture a video tour guide service.

congrats on the completion of the sale to both parties.

These kinds of 5 figure sales seem to be happening more and more often. Seeing this type of money changing hands when this thing is still truly in its infancy is a good sign.

The more sales I see and the more corporate mobi's that go up, the less speculative .mobi gets.

Cool

Not $2,900 ... but also not $23,650 ... but nice that it's now completed, IMHO.

Quote:
Europe.mobi ($11,500) was the only .mobi from the Moniker/T.R.A.F.F.I.C. auctions to close this week. Several large auction sales in that extension are expected to be completed over the next seven days. A Moniker representative told us the registry's processing requirements have made the transfer of those domains go a bit slower than it has for other extensions sold at T.R.A.F.F.I.C.
Congrats, Think!

Agree, I hope the buyer is a REAL .MOBI developer, IMHO.

Added: Researching Whois, the professional Investor/Buyer from Holland, I believe, is the previous seller of Stocks.mobi & Girls.mobi for a total of $119,000, IMHO. And, if this is current, it's already got a "Make Offer / For Sale" page ...
Link: http://www.domainsystems.com/bidform...in=europe.mobi

Unlikely to be developed and added to the "ecosytem" ... at least here in the near-term!
Just my two sense.

I'm glad hennie bought it... means it is most likely for sale and perhaps someday I can afford it. ;-) (still in play, LOL)

regarding the price, glad "they" all worked it out... glad the controversy died down and it didn't sell for the original ridiculously low "hallway" price.

Yes, it is nice to see the Europe.mobi transaction finally close. I think both parties got a good deal.

From www.dotmobiz.com

All TRAFFIC West transactions completed

The Premium domains that were auctioned at the TRAFFIC conference in March this year are all transfered to the new owners.

The new owners originate from different continents (Europe, Australia and the USA). This again shows the Global character of dotmobi.

Dotmobiz put together the list of the buyers:

$ 23,000 - Pics.mobi - Xavier Buck (CEO euroDNS.com)
$ 11,000 - Airfare.mobi - Stephen May
$ 6,500 - CreditScore.mobi - Stephen May
$ 41,000 - Singles.mobi - R.J. Pettet (From Denver, USA)
$ 19,000 - Directions.mobi - R.J. Pettet
$ 16,500 - MusicVideos.mobi* - R.J. Pettet
$ 52,000 - Casinos.mobi - Rick Schwartz (From Flowers.mobi)
$ 6,700 - Eat.mobi - Rick Schwartz
$ 85,000 - RealEstate.mobi - Finca Corporation Pty Ltd (from Australia)
$ 21,000 - Pizza.mobi - Finca Corporation Pty Ltd
$ 7,500 - Models.mobi - Colombani (From France, Europe)
$ 1.500 - LoanCalculator.mobi - Mustafa Patel
$ 11,500 - Europe.mobi* - H. Groot Lipman (The Netherlands)

Personaly i think it's not good for .mobi that there are no endusers on the buyers list...

Martin

It was a domainers convention , the chances of end users were slim to none.

Tis, where the majority of domain sales go , reseller to reseller, occasionally they net that very rare fish- the "end user" .

For .mobi to succeed we definitaly need that rare fish. Parked mobis will not help the extension...

^ Amen!

I'm sure there will be more details in the next DNJ, so forth ... but from above you can see that there wasn't exactly a lot of depth on the .MOBI buying side at the last Traffic show, IMHO (four Buyers/Investors purchased 10 or more domains, etc).
The "ecosystem" is SCREAMING, surely!
Can you hear it?

See you soon.

WhoIs update times for the ones I checked show those were transferred after our deadline yesterday. Moniker had reported to us earlier in the day that they would be finished soon but they had not been transferred at that point in time.
