What's the status of your WATCHLIST?

My watch list was 96 deep when I stopped registering en masse a few months ago. I've grabbed one or two since then but not like the landrush.

Since I stopped registering off my watchlist, I've monitored it weekly. 36 out of the 96 names have been registered either by me or others. There are still some nice ones on my list that I may grab soon. But I was curious to see if anyone else had a watchlist and what its current status was.

Here are the names I was watching that have subsequently been registered:

Haha, I can't do that either.

about 80% of the names on my list are registered now. I'm hoping that out of those 500 names at least a few of them become available.

..im on the DL

..there have been some promising things happening in my life stemming from my prayers and Interfaith ministry..

Perhaps, at this stage of Dot Mobi, I have been now occupied with these things overtaking the Dot Mobi watchlist watch .. since September 26 I landed a solid 300 "only".. hehe did best I could since counting every dollar in increments of dot mobis prices.. hungry..

I have been one of the few daily domainer posters/readers here since September 26th straight! who else been on board.. marathon guerilla dot mobi style hehe!

Adrenaline running out.. need to recharge with health and spiritual sabbatical..

Till the next moment, friends..

(Imagine if we all did biz together.. stuck together.. launched an empire network.. or just even shared referral buyers? c'mon people! Open for networking.. )
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=306926

For as low as $8.99 a dot mobi, of course still some great opportunities out there!

Happy Whois friends..

Kind Regards,

Yelo

Registered a few hundred .mobi's with a hundred or so less important .mobi's left on the list to possibly register.

To be honest, I may not register any more .mobi domains, there are a ton of one worders in the portfolio crying out to be developed and that is my first priority.

Just looked at my "maybe mobi" lists again - a few more gone off each one. Seems to be the case every time I check. They were all one-word, English dictionary terms including some plurals - and all real world objects, not adjectives, etc. Although not the kind of things that you think of as directly relating to "mobile", still something that people will be looking up on their handhelds as their lives become even more portable.

I agree, but it is a bit sad to watch some of them disappearing .... so many ideas ... so little time.

I missed the landrush...actually, I didn't miss it. I ignored it after getting burned like a match in this thing called .eu.

However, I study markets, trends, conditions and just plain ol' common sense...which tells me what a dumbass move that was.

Anyways, since about a month and a half ago, I started buying a few .mobi's. My first attempt was right here on this forum. Seller posted a domain for sale with a BIN and I nailed it. Only thing was, seller decided to sell to someone else who posted 30 minutes after me. I don't care...but that was my first .mobi endeavor.

Since then, I now have 172 .mobi's. Anyone who thinks there are not some gems still out there needs to think and look again. And quit thinking solely in English.

No, not all words are suitable. Think in terms of what .mobi is and what it says...mobile. Portability, on the go, in a rush, need it now, remind me, it's all about phones and PDA's and other devices that are supposed to make our life easier and about convenience. Think along in those terms and you will be amazed what is out there.

My watch list are one word English dictionary totalling 590 words. That's dictionary...English. That was perhaps two weeks ago. Now that list is 58 domain names lighter. I am sure I got some of them but look at some that slipped away...

admitted.mobi (great for ticket sales, sporting events..even criminal procedings)
welcoming.mobi
celebrated.mobi
allows.mobi
waits.mobi
spectators.mobi (stunning all sports fan and ticket sales potential)

You don't even want to know how long my other watch lists are...LLLL, CVCV, VCVC, spanish, italian, german, japanese

Gems abound. Gotta broaden your reach and your search.

Doubtful I am telling any of you land rushers out there anything new. But for the sake of seeing so many threads in this and other forums saying all the good ones are gone I say...while you're whining and crying folks are dwindling down these lists that we are hoarding.

Doing alot of regging on the fly also. The list are just there, sitting...in case i get bored. Much less stressful...
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=306926

I re-ran my list last night after seeing this post. I also regged four on the fly last night:

PATHOS.MOBI
GRANDI.MOBI
STRAD.MOBI
VASO.MOBI

All had specific meaning to me or known usage but the only one that was on the list was VASO which I did not even realize I had it on my list until last night.

My list is just that...like a Christmas wishlist. No stress because I accept the realization I can't own them all.

I add to my watchlist every day and each day it also gets some names removed that have been regd. I have now compiled nearly 30,000+ domains that have been registered by others that were on my original watchlist and it grows everyday. There is still gold out there, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I still register about 5 per day on average.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=306926

here's a good example, I live in the Washington DC area and many prime domains are gone, many City+service/product are also gone and yet there are very simple but important domains still available...

i.e. One I just registered, literally 5 minutes ago deals with a local info guide I'm planning on developing around user-generated content. There's major development underway in the Southwest DC area, and it is always referenced as "SouthWest DC" and of course "SWDC"... I couldn't believe that both domains were still left unregistered... so I grabbed both:

SouthWestDC.mobi & SWDC.mobi for reg fee. $17 total for 2 domains that I expected to spend a bit more on emailing owners or at auction. For anyone living in the DC area, they will realize that these domains are amazing but most importantly need to be developed and can be of much use to natives/tourists. Plenty of real estate listings, restaurants, nightlife, events, etc.

I was also able to register today: MetroStop.mobi & MetroStops.mobi to provide bus/subway mapping info for commuters, etc.

I would have easily paid $100+ each for all 4 domains I listed because they perfectly suit my development needs and are definitely applicable to mobile usage.

So don't let anyone tell you guys otherwise, they is still gold out there. If you're in this to buy to resell, be careful, but there are still some opportunities for quick flips... if you're a developer, the hardest part about .mobi is finding the right people & having the time to get the job done... the domains are out there.

For those of you that are still lost and can't find good names to reg, look to your local market, steer away from trademarks, etc and look for important locations or major tourist destinations in your area or for city+service/product domains... but don't go too crazy...

good luck to everyone.

I do not have a watch list and am not actively searching for more domains. But if an idea comes to me, I see if there is a URL for it. A recent grab was RomanNumerals.mobi. With an OVT over 40,000 it was a no brainer IMO. A simple info site will be forthcoming and perhaps a converter if I can figure out how to code it.

I have pages and pages of lists I made up before landrush. Most of the one worders are gone but a few remain and I reg them here and there plus a few two-worders. I also add to the lists every few days when I get the urge to search. There's also still a few plural premiums left from the MLTD list (where they have the singular reserved.) Not the greatest ones though mind you and I only found a few, didn't check the whole list.
