| Senior Member | What I would like this forum to be. Here is what I would like this forum to be. This is just what I would like to see, I realize this is not a perfect world and I'm certainly not the only one in it but if I had it my way this is what I would find when I come to the namepros mobi forum (not in any particular order): 1. News on the mobile web 2. News that mentions .mobi 3. Mobi sites that have been developed (from big corps to np members) 4. Ideas on how to develope mobile websites (cms scripts, layouts, etc) 5. Resources for mobile website development 6. Resources to monetize a mobile website 7. Anything else mobile internet related I have not thought of. What I don't want to see: I don't have to number it because it is just one thing, all the threads mentioned above turning into pro .mobi versus anti .mobi discussions. Anything to say on that topic has already been said, over and over again. We have been there done that. O.k. so I said it. If you agree with what I'm thinking, there are a couple things we can do to keep the threads focused and on topic. When someone comes in taking the thread off topic into the pro vs. anti discussion there are a couple of ways to deal with it: A. Don't respond B. Let the person know their comment is off topic and refer them to any number of pro vs. anti mobi threads they can put their comments. I really do think if we stick together on this, we can keep our threads on topic. Having said that, what is your favorite pro vs anti .mobi thread? Let's find a good one and use that as our default. When some one starts taking the thread off topic lets refer them to that thread and keep the arguements out of every other .mobi thread. What do you think? |

| NamePros Regular | Good point Neobodhi... I'm with you 100% on the theme of developing .mobi... would just like to add - 8) ideas on how to promote .mobi, both our own sites and the use by other companies. 9) tools and info for those who want to sell, buy or trade, since some of us have more .mobi's than we could possibly develop. Perhaps there is a way to minimize the flood of 'look at my latest reg' threads, which are getting tiresome - maybe have one thread for those. Quote:

They don't have to have their last word, cuz you know they never will have had their "last" word. Lets just try and keep the argument out of all the other threads. It would be nice if we had a standard line something like: I appreciate your opinion on the validity of .mobi, please discuss it in this thread... "insert the thread here" in this thread we are discussing "insert thread topic here". What do you think? | ||

| Senior Member | Good post neo. If the NPers in here will do just as you note, and don't get into it with every thread crashing posting, and just keep on track of the subject at hand, we'd have a more cohesive forum. I agree with a lot of your points. Quote:
(..do we have to go thru a paddle gauntlet now??)

| NamePros Regular | Even for the posts that are pro mobi I still like to see more indebt responses with more analyses of the different factors that are in play, For example when people make comments about certain domains or developed websites I like to see them go beyond just showing pure admiration by giving the reasons as to why they think that those domains or websites stand out. |
