.mobi apprasials at moniker.com

Has anyone had an appraisal done at Moniker yet? I know sedo's system is out dated and completly flawed by i've never heard much about Monikers, so i'd like to get some feedback before i get one done!

Cheers Chris

My guess is that they'd err ... on the high side , IMHO.

Just my two sense.

.Mobi market is highly variable, and I would not recommend a "cookie cutter" appraisal. If you want a domain appraised, go to the appraisal section and post. If you want a discrete appraisal, you can probably describe the general basics of the domain (without naming it) on an appraisal thread, offer a few dollars to folks with 1000 or more posts, and get it appraised via PM.

For simply buying and selling names I don't see the point of an appraisal, regardless of the tld or the service provider. Each domain is unique and its real value is set by the agreement of the buyer and seller. For me the only legitimate role of an appraisal is to deal with some asset tax issue or to arrange domain financing.

Would any "legitimate" appraiser have appraised flowers.mobi at $200,000 a week prior to the auction last fall? I doubt it but that is the value as set by the marketplace.

If they did, I need them to pick my lotto numbers.
