As their are several exts for your pc, so will be the case for mobile internet. Too late for .tel IMHO, it will surely be runner up to .mobi. I believe .mobi will be the .com equivalent on mobile devices.

I wonder how many .mobi investors will participate in the .tel rush? I hope the true mobi believers turn their backs on this one.

tel. should be like .info.. cheap and easy to reg.. so that all people can equally participate and reg domains

Actually .tel sounds like another unfortunate choice of extension.
With the convergence of technologies (voip, skype) etc more and more people are using their computer as a phone. Also a lot of people have a mobile phone (GSM) and no fixed line. 'Telephone' is becoming a deprecated word

.tel doesnt only stand for telephone ... its first meaning is telecommunications, this includes telephone voip, skype, .......

just thought to bring this to your attention ...

still i dont really believe in .tel at this moment.

.tel isnt waht you think...there's a great thread about it on "another" domain forum that is smaller and older than np if you get me....tel is an automated system if I understand it...it is not an extension as we know it in it's usual form...it is basically an auotmated phone book and imo will fail cause it is a security risk.
