![]() ![]() | Flowers2.mobi or Bet2.mobi - no reserve on SEDO? I realise these are not premium names because of the 2 suffix. What are the pros/cons of listing the names on Sedo with no reserve on them? Also predictions on what they will go for - reg. fee or more? Also which one would you list between the two? Cheers, Si

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Have you received an offer to send these domains to auction from a Sedo agent? Simply listing them for sale on Sedo doesn't mean you are obliged to sell them at any specific price. In order for the names to go to auction you must either receive an offer and send it to auction at that price (which becomes the reserve) or negotiate starting an auction with a Sedo agent. Hope that helps. One more thing, the minimum offer price on Sedo is $60 (US). So if you do start an auction and receive a bid you will be guaranteed at least this much. The problem is that Sedo's commission rate is 10% with a minimum $50 (US) for .mobi domains which are not currently parked with Sedo. In other words, if your auction closes at $60 and Sedo charges $50, your net gain is $10 (i.e. likely less than your reg fee). Long and short, if you do list your domains at Sedo, it would be wise to park them there as well. |

![]() ![]() | Hi, Thanks for the response. The domains are parked at Sedo and would list via Sedo agent with no reserve. So in this case I would sell for a minimum of $60 - 10% and make $54? Thanks, Si

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes, provided you get a bid. Be sure to clarify with your Sedo rep exactly what Sedo's minimum commission will be in this case. Sedo's website states precisely what I said above: see this link Sedo's Price List (specifically footnote #1 under "Selling Domains"); but it is always a good idea to get your agent to confirm/reiterate the specific terms in writing (i.e. in an email). You may also be able to negotiate for a modest reserve (a calculated risk given your express concern re a decent closing price per your OP--it may be a barrier to bidding). |
