Best and Cheap .mobi Registrar?

Hi

I register all my domains at name.com and their pricing is really attractive. But now I ran into a problem.

I am trying to register a few .mobi domains. I checked for them in enom, moniker, eurodns and a few other registrars. The domains show up as "Available". But on name.com they show up as "Taken" !!

What could be wrong with these guys?

Please suggest a good registrar to buy these domains.

Thanks
Sunil Varma

Moniker has good pricing. Its only $12.95 and I think they are one of the best registrars. There are a few places selling for around $9 though but I trust Moniker more.

Yeah, I considered Moniker, but they accept only verified Paypal accounts and I don't have a credit card to get verified.

You guys have any idea why name.com is showing these domains as "Taken" when they are still available?

Thanks

I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me a few of the ones that are doing .mobi for about $9

I haven't used anything other then GoDaddy! As of yet, I haven't had any issues. I've thought about trying Moniker because of the 12.99 reg and what others have said on this forum, but haven't taken then plunge yet.

This is how I do it. Search for domains at the source: http://pc.mtld.mobi/whois/index.php

If available, buy the name at website.in.

Ditto.

In fact it puts me off buying off resellers when the domains are at dodgy registrars.
Not saying website.in are, but there are a few small registrars down at minute.
I'd rather stick with quality for that bit extra.
Tbh now, personally i think i'm totally done with handregges. I think everything's gone now.
Better to pick up some bits on the aftermarket & develop what you got imo
