this reminds me of the failed Cue Cat where you had a little handheld scanner which was supposed to scan barcodes in ads which would take you to websites for more information
this is a new way to do it and i hope it succeeds, using the phone to link to gps, upc, barcodes to get precise targeted data will be huge and mobi is positioned right in the middle
Very interesting article and had my brain spinning 1000 miles an hour trying to find something to go along with this brand new wide open market dedicated to this particular industry.
I regged a few, but the one's that really stuck out of the crowd was "ReadBarCode(s)" kind of long, yes, but the keywords are there and son of a gun, nobody had the .com's regged even though google suggest is showing 64 and 65 million respectfully. I kind of like "ScanBarCode.mobi" as we'll.
Figured it was a good small investment for future development as this market grows.

it may be a long shot but if one hits, well, your gonna do well
there's no doubt that people in a very short time will be going in to any store and if they are interested in a product, they will scan the upc code and go to a website where they will be a ble to read reviews, comments, warnings, advice etc
this will be coming, but it will be a job for the big boys as it will be a very sophisticated web setup
just how to predict what name to use .. who knows?
