You had me going with that thread title.

Certainly a shorter name is better but if the name makes sense then give it a try.

Doesn't make a difference at all, unless the name is just insanely long. With more people adapting to phones and mobile devices with qwerty keypads length is not an issue at all anymore.

I am perfectly fine (and quite fast) at typing in a 15 letter name on my phone with a standard keypad.

Haha. Good example of an insanely long name. I'd never even type that in on my computer.

panman is on a distinguished road

In due time length wil not matter-I'm sure!
here are some of my regd names:
ProfessionalPhotography.mobi
LandscapePhotography.mobi
LandscapePhotos.mobi

I've registered many long names, but they make sense and the words are commonly used. I'm a photographer and these domains mean a lot more-(personally) than some three letter ones as they are more descriptive

This is still a matter of debate, there are arguements that even with a qwerty keypad the keys are so much smaller that shorter names will have more of an advantage than in .com. And there is an advantage to shorter names in .com.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=297439

All other things being equal, shorter is better, in any extension. But all other things never are equal so use a longer name if it is the best option.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excuse me people, but disagreeing with a post is no reason to neg somebody. No explanation was given, and I have not changed the above.

So you like long names. Good for you. You get your opinion, I get mine. If you want to discuss it great, maybe you can add something or even change my mind. The Neg button is for reporting spam and personal attacks, not for ideas you disagree with.
