I just completed a 1-year .MOBI registration at www.whiz.in for $9

That's about as cheap as you are going to find anywhere, I think.

And whiz.in is a relatively solid registar? A quick look at comments from other threads seem to be pretty positive about them... $9 is great news.

brings it to about 12.74 each for a year

at whiz you are getting 9 for the price of 6.35 domains at gd

even though i have everything at gd, i'd say whiz looks pretty good especially because we are eating leftovers now

The new 1yr registrations certainly help the cause as far as $$$ is concerned as opposed to 2yrs. (esp with all the names registered by members here!) $9 for a .mobi is good thanks for the info!

I've been trying to consolidate all my domains with GoDaddy recently, however i have been hearing one or two things about whiz.in...

I think I'll wait for GoDaddy to follow suit before picking up my first .mobi

Check your bulk mail folder. Whiz has been very responsive to me, but Yahoo thinks his mail is spam, so look there.

No. They both use the Directi/ResellersClub back-end system, and that's why the site interface is similar. You will see the same basic interface at several other sites...

I registered one domain with gdtechindia and the only little strange thing was an email invoice a few hours after purchase although I had already paid the domain. But when I clicked the payment link in the invoice it confirmed that "The domain has already been paid for".

According to this thread , free push should be allowed with them.

I've spent over $1,000 in reg fees at Whiz.in (just checked my billing statement) over the past 6 months, and I've never had any serious issues. Member Tk has always helped me when I needed it, but that wasn't often because I've been using the same system for a couple years at various other domain sites, and I'm comfortable with it (Directi/ResellersClub).

I should warn everybody, the interface does have some quirks, but that's not exclusive to Whiz.in, it's the same with all the other sites that use it.

Overall, I have to give Whiz.in a 9/10 rating. Excellent value, solid support.
