The Google Switch is said to be the name of an upcoming mobile phone from a Google/Samsung partnership. All a bit vague at the momment...

I hope Google keeps diversifying, it will make it all the more interesting when their stock begins it's nosedive.

Yeah, I also heard somewhere that if you Switch on this Google Switch, iphones will automatically switch off!

not gonna happen...google is about to launch free cellphones and service which will be paid for with mobile ads...and of course they are going to make $ off mobile ads from all others too...they already tested it in 10 countries...

I'll be completely honest. I don't have a clue what this thread is about. checked the link & it doesn't really say anything. what is this 'switch'? & where is mobi mentioned?

it's about google collaboration with a cell phone manufacturer to release a google cell, which, if the above is all true, may stand in direct competition with the coming iPhone. Main difference may be the way information is handled. if google wants to run everything serverside and have the phone just on the receiving end, they're going to face plant in the USA, our cell networks are not up to that standard and speed, yet.

I agree with you that our cell networks are not up to that speed, the speed should be improve more and more.
