DOTMOBI announcement:"GO MOBILE!"

DOTMOBI HELPS PARTNERS "GO MOBILE!"
New tools for registrars to help businesses easily build and advertise their mobile web sites

DUBLIN, Ireland and WASHINGTON, DC – February 5, 2007 – dotMobi, the first and only Internet address designed specifically for mobile phones, today announced its "Go Mobile!" initiative, a program for dotMobi’s network of global registrars and resellers to help businesses accelerate their move to the mobile Internet.

Go Mobile! is exclusively available to dotMobi’s registrars and resellers, and includes a range of tools for developing good quality mobile content as well as targeted marketing guides to dramatically improve companies’ mobile capabilities and business volumes.

“Go Mobile! equips our partners with the tools they need to support customers who are establishing their mobile web presence,” said Neil Edwards, CEO of dotMobi. “Go Mobile! is about accelerating the adoption of the .mobi domain and also encouraging the development of good quality mobile content to create a faster and more reliable mobile Internet experience for users.”

Core elements of Go Mobile! include a range of tools for registrars and resellers:

Ready.mobi – An analysis tool to test the mobile-readiness of any web site using industry best practices and standards. Ready.mobi gives an in-depth directional report of how well a site will perform on mobile phones.
Dev.mobi – The dotMobi Developer Forum at http://dev.mobi is a rich source of news, tools and applications for anyone with an interest in the mobile web
.Mobi Site Builder – dotMobi will soon offer registrars a mobile web site building tool that they can in turn offer to their customers.
"As the world's leading .mobi registrar, we are naturally excited about Go Mobile!," said Bob Parsons, CEO & Founder of GoDaddy.com®. "With this launch, dotMobi is growing an exciting range of revenue opportunities and we have the mobile tools to help make it happen, including Website Tonight®, a site builder that will format your Web page for mobile devices and our industry leading Web-Based Mobile Mail."

Other Go Mobile! elements include a substantial cooperative marketing program plus full training and support.

Bhavin Turakhia, CEO of India-based Directi Group, said, “.mobi is one of our most successful recently launched domain names. With these comprehensive tools, dotMobi is opening a new world of global content growth.”

Note to Editors
Go Mobile! will be available to fully accredited dotMobi registrars from Monday, 12 February. Details will be issued directly to dotMobi registrars via standard communications channels.

Every little helps, but i would like to see the mtld registry invest some of it's new acquired wealth in promotion, via tv ads, newspaper ads or a few billboards at least. The big boys might follow.........
