What if a Domain should have been reserved but got missed ?

Found something interesting this afternoon. A domain name that should have got reserved was missed. I think this was an error. Do you think that it could be taken off me ?

It's a country. Something has been registered in its place but with a grammatical error. All references by goverment sources relate to it as the domain I just regged.

EDIT : to avoid "What Names ?"

gambia.mobi Reserved

thegambia.mobi I just regged.

The Gambia is it's proper title, like The Netherlands.

I would think the tourism department of TheGambia would be interested in that one.

Nice find. But IMO the version without the "the" will get the better traffic even though it is technically incorrect. Regardless it is a nice find and should be yours without any hassles. I don't think they can repo it from you but I'm no expert on that. During landrush I gambled on 2 letter .mobi's hoping for a mistake on their part but no such luck

I don't know, but I noticed a worse error with Switzerland in German (Switzerland' main language).

There has been a typo and Schweitz was reserved instead of Schweiz (of course registered by someone on 26 September). I don't know how they will manage this...

I passed over "the gambia" because it just doesn't get too many hits. Gambia of course gets more traffic. I don't like "the" that much either in my names,
