I read an article this morning on Hillary Clinton running for President and it gave me a few new ideas.

With the elections coming in 2008 one would assume that the mobile platform will be much more developed (and accepted) and would seem a perfect fit to reach voters with this expanding new technology.

It's not that I'm a big fan of Hers (I really don't know much about Her)however I will never forget when her Husband asked in front of millions of people "Define the word It" LOL

I picked this one up along with a some others, and was wondering if there is anyone else looking for .mobis related to the Elections?

Personally I think combining politicians with Mobile capabilities and 10's of Millions to spend on a campaign just might be the catalyst to propel the use of Mobile Internet into the mainstream.

Yep, I can see it now, She'll just tell everyone during a speech (and the World) just go to Vote4Hillary.mobi "RIGHT NOW" on your cellphones.

I see that you registered it with GoDaddy, so I believe that you can get your money back and cancel the domain? If so, I would recommend considering that. I really can't see your domain going anywhere.

The name? Grant it, it is a little long, but you know EXACTLY what it's about when you read it, and I'm willing to bet a few bucks there will be 2 or more people (on either side) that could use it in the near future.

The Idea? We'll I guess time will tell if they figure out a way to use Mobile Technology during the Elections which certainly couldn't hurt in helping brand the .mobi extension on a Major Scale.

For some reason that's why I started this thread for the "IDEA" on how the Elections could play a positive role in the mobi extension.

The idea might work but the name will flounder. Saying "Vote for Hillary" and typing vote4hillary are 2 different things. Hillaryforpres, hillary2010, electhillary, are options that would be stronger IMO. But I for one would rather frequent shrill.mobi in such an election year.

Good point, especially considering that .mobi domains are registered through 2008, so there will be no need to renew while waiting to sell.

Also, by 2008, .mobi could already be well known. Just depends on how things pan out.

If you can't delete the domain, I too would suggest just hanging onto it until the election draws near.
