I have received an offer for all of my spanish names, from an anonymous buyer via email, dont know if it is an NP'er or not. Here is my list the offer is for $25k. Would you take it? A month ago I might have taken it however not too sure now. Any thoughts to my portfolio and what it may be worth.

You have some fantastic names. While 25k is a big figure, I wouldn't let the number get in the way of careful consideration of the value of the domains individually. (Easier said than done, I realize.) Good luck on an excellent portfolio!

I know but we have not seen a lot of Spanish names in the marketplace so it is hard to gage the value, biggest obviously being hoteles.mobi and then a few others. I sent out some feelers about two months ago to sell it all and now someone is contacting me, however the dynamics may have changed a little bit, there have been some pretty decent secondary sales. So I am trying to figure it out.

Anyone with Spanish names have any advice?

I Agree. Pretty good names there. Not knowledgeable on resale of Spanish domains, but I'd suggest thinking this out and make the decision you can live with. GL with it!! And congrats on getting the offer.

Way to low, IMO. There are some great words in that list.

bragas, orgia, pezones, virgenes, signos (free horoscope site) and others.

I don't know the spanish market well but I would be hard pressed to sell my short list for $25k

yeah seems low, especially with a few of the names i have, I sent out an email at the end of last year asking for that amount, but now my portfolio has grown and there have been some big sales. I just wanted to sell a few names today to replenish my domain cash and this happens, must be an anonymous NP'er : ) Colombani is it you using a different email address? : )

I do own one Spanish .mobi (artes.mobi), however, I haven't really pushed to sell it because I feel that with the low number of Spanish .mobi sales, I should hold on to it until there is a stronger market for them. I hesitate to give you advice to sell the names, because I feel like my opinion would be a little biased, as a sale of this proportion would definitely get people more interested in Spanish .mobis. However, I will say this: you have some great names. If you aren't aching to get rid of the whole portfolio, you may want to split the names up according to keyword searches, or some other gauge of popularity, if you decide to counter, and give the buyer a chance to make an offer of a similar amount on a smaller portion of the names.

thanks, I have also just confirmed that Virgins.Mobi had a bid of $17,000 yesterday at auction but did not meet reserve, this alone should put the value of my virgenes at $1500 - $2000 at least IMHO or almost 10% of the offer price. So I will probably counter much higher to see what happens.

Do you have any non-spanish .mobis to keep for later or is the Spanish all you have?

If they are the whole portfolio, then you may want to counter higher so you can rebuy more at reseller prices or buy one hellava .com with the profits...imo

side note, like all of us you have some great words in the list but also some that wouldnt really make much of a developed site...

There is also always the possiblity that the .mobi ext will fail. If it were me, I'd probably sell and be done with it. But it is your choice, and you should think it through.

Unless you're pressed for money, I would probably take the risk and hold onto them for now (or hold out for a better offer anyways). There are some good names in there, depending on how .mobi does in the long haul.

yeah, i countered fairly high. I think $250 or less per name is low. I probably wont sell. hey one of the biggest sales or the biggest sale this year was spanish juegos.com for 10,000,000 so there is definitely a market.

I am not in your situation but after looking through your list... I would not sell for that price. There may not be a spanish aftermarket yet or ever but your portfolio is great and has development potential. Perhaps you can be the "Chena" of the .mobi world.

fyi, I believe in .mobi's development potential and own MANY of them. Some are spanish, italian, etc... one of my spanish .mobi domains: Modelo.mobi was offered almost $5K around Christmas.. I passed and I believe you have better names in your portfolio.

You need to ask for more or remove names from the list $250 each is a crap offer. You obviously have names worth 10x that. Most likely they don't want all the names..tell him for $25k you will give him a choice of 15 names from the list. That or they must make a better offer.

While you(labrocca) have bashed me extensively in the past regarding my sale , i have to put the grudges aside .I agree to the fact that this comes down to the selection of your spanish portfolio names but get your selections and buyer's selections and see how and where you both can compromise.This might mean you come down a little from 25k so you can save some names for your self.
