NASDAQ Symbols

1-800-flowers.com owns FLWS.MOBI

Yahoo! Inc. owns YHOO.MOBI

GOOG.MOBI - Already taken!

I don't know whether registering NASDAQ symbols will result in trademark abuse or not.

In the new January issue of INC magazine, there is a small article called "Here Come the Trademark Bullies" which says that Pres Bush signed into law legislation that says "companies with famous trademarks can now sue businesses with similar names regardless of the presence or absence of actual or likely confusion, of competition, or of actual economic injury".

I have a couple LLLL.com stock symbols. I did notice a nice increase in traffic when those companys stock were hot. I used the keywords -penny stocks. Since then, one company failed and one changed its stock symbol with a merger with another company. In the end, I made a couple pennies is all.

I used allstocks.com forum to see what stocks were hot then checked for availability. Some of them boys are LOOOOOOAADDDDDDDDED
