Help Me Pick TRAFFIC 2007 Names To Auction

I need your help. I want to submit 5 domains to the upcoming TRAFFIC Auction but I can't decide what ones I should put in. I've put together a list of most of my better quality MOBI names.

Please pick the top 5 names you like from this list and let me know what I should set the reserve and or the opening bid price at.

Thanks, and I can't wait to see what you guys pick.

Thanks for getting this rolling.

I think HVD would do well too but I'm really unsure about if I should sell it within 2 years. There is an organization developing a technology called Holographic Versatile Discs. They can store up to a terabyte of information on one disc and they have already been tested to work. They are suposed to replace dvds, hd-dvds, blu-ray, etc within the next 5 years.

If this becomes the next dvd and Mobi takes off I could be sitting on something worth millions.

I think I'll hold off selling this domain for the next few years unless I get a considerable offer on it.

As of right now I was planning on just listing them in the Moniker Marketplace. Then I'd email them and ask them when I could submit them for the auction.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=260595

I just want to have my list ready for when they officially start accepting names for the auction. That way I can submit them early and have my domains viewed by more people which would help get better bids.

I have an account with them but only a couple of names, is this for .mobi only? Can I list names from other registers? And how much does it cost?

Thanks for the heads up, looking forward to learning more.

Theres probably going to be like 50k people trying to submit all their names to TRAFFIC 2007 auction. I think its going to be hard to get names into it. I think slash.mobi is good.

I think the last event, they charged around 15% commish? can anyone verify this?
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=260595

As far as I know, you can send as many tld domain names (dotCom, dotMobi, etc.) from diff. registrars as you want; however, Moniker will only choose what they want to offer to public.

by the way, the form will ask you to complete these fields:
registrar, min take home $, min sale price, domain desc, # of unique visitors per month, $rev per month.

Don't despair if you don't have certain values; just try to submit some "quality" stuff, not junks...

good luck!

Yes, that is correct. Also, nothing was charged for names that did not sell.

There should be some useful info here
http://www.moniker.com
and this but the first link may be more useful
http://www.targetedtraffic.com/lv_schedule.html

You can email them after you have set up an account,
and request a form for the auction as sf2010 suggested.
From what I understand from the last auction process,
after the names are submitted and no more are allowed,
the names are then viewed by whomever and if they have an interest
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=260595
they click something (from what I understand) the names with the most interest
are placed in the auction - beit live or silent - hope this helps

Sorry I don't see one on that list that will compare with the top quality domains competing to get into that auction. The vast majority are reg-fee or less as they have nothing to do with mobile content, nor do their tld namesakes offer mobile content.

Good luck.

I may have to agree with snoop here, there are going to be thousands of names that will be submitted and rejected...
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=260595

The 2 that may have a shot is

Slash.mobi (easy. short. slash prices etc..)

and

InsurancePolicy.mobi (a bit long though)

Just my opinion good luck though.

Do you think LLL.mobi stands a chance, even premium ones? Also how many names do they enter into the auction?

I hope LLL.mobi's stand a chance in the next round because I have a couple of my own I'd like to see on the list. wow.mobi($9,000) and hot.mobi($40,000) sold at traffic east. I think any LLL.mobi's listed in the next auction will have to be great.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=260595

I don't know how many names they'll allow to be auctioned at traffic west, but there can only be so many because of the time it takes to auction all of the names and most as usual will be .coms

But thats just speculation on my part, also a lot can change between now and then. Lets see what happens.

Lets face it, probably 85% (+/-10)% of of the best .mobi domain names are reserved by the dotMobi registry and theirs are the ones that went for the big bucks in the last auction.

So for some us domainers who have great names we still have to stand in line behind dotMobi because they cherry picked 6000 premium names (forsale.mobi car.mobi fan.mobi bank.mobi act.mobi diet.mobi law.mobi movies.mobi love.mobi date.mobi etc...) They made money from all these registrations and still have the best .mobi portfolio imaginable.

All you can do is hope for the best here.
