I was reading Money magazine today and saw an ad and two other tags listing CNNMoney.mobi

even more interesting...try going to cnnmoney.mobi right now on your home pc... ive never seen that message.. could this be one of the first fully developed .mobi sites by a major corp?

i just went to cnnmoney.mobi on my phone - as many speculated from the start it is a redirect to a .com compliant site, so in theory you could go to cnnmoney.com/mobile or somthing similar.... this is much like google.com which even says rather than going to google.mobi, its also ok to type in: mobile.google.com

heres a quote directly from www.google.mobi :

" OR Go directly to http://mobile.google.com on your mobile device's browser."

Now is this counterproductive for the extension if they tell users they can just go to the .COM ?

Instead of memorizing where "/mobi" goes for every website, they can now just use .mobi.

maybe, but this may change with time.

remember google was one of the first .mobi sites to be active, they had that same statement back in April i believe..
