I would. There have been times I have been out and something has made me think of a domain name, like reading a newspaper. Then I wish I could register the name on the spot instead of waiting to get home. By then I usually forget.

So maybe we need a site like pcnames.com that is mobi optimized. I know I'd rather search through lists of names instead of playing DOOM on my cell phone.

There have been a few times in the past that I wish I could have registered a domain name from my phone.

That's how I register most of my names nowadays.... with my Verizon Motorola Q...(using my own reseller account)... even when I'm at home, I'm carrying the Q just in case. I had my techie build a custom interface with 2-click registration, confirmation via email + sms, archiving, bulk whois check, bulk registration, nearly everything I could imagine is in there... truly robust. Part of me is afraid to let others play with it because it is too powerful and will make you register far more domains than you ever have before. I have registered nearly 300 .mobis just on my Q when I'm driving, shopping, eating, in bed... wherever and whenever I get inspired. I could not imagine being a domainer without mobile access. ahh... forgot to mention FULLY functional domain management script, instant single&bulk redirect, domain portfolio search etc... maybe I'll take some screenshots or take some digital cam pix of the setup in action.

and keep in mind the Motorola Q has a full qwerty keyboard and Verizon just dropped the price to $99 for the device, $45 month for BROADBAND access. yes mobile broadband domain registration. LOL.

a few days ago, I'm sitting outside a restaurant waiting for them to deliver my order to my car and I pay for my food... and it hits me like a ton of bricks... CURBSIDE.mobi - so I check it, open, click register on my motorola Q and before the waitress can bring back my change... curbside.mobi is mine. then earlier tonight on the way home I was stopped at a light, checked for a few delivery domain names and all were gone and on the radio I hear the broadcaster say "blah blah blah DoorStep blah blah"... and when I got to the next light... I registered DoorStep.mobi - now don't judge the domain names, not the best by far, though healthy google results and perfect for my development needs (curbside & doorstep) - ignore the domains, just imagine the convenience and the power of being able to check on demand.

anywho... bbl.

.

also forgot to mention, the interface for our mobile regs works just as well on the PC.

I think it would be great to have opportunity to reg on the mobi. I consider it'd economise time and hosting would have more clients.

I do agree with you. For me too, sometimes the idea just comes to my mind when I am far away from my computers... and in this case, Cellphones will be the best choce.
