![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm surprised many haven't register names using "-" yet NNN's gone NNNN's good ones gone LLL's still some With all this .mobi hype, many of the names are gone. Even names that have nothing to do with mobile use. In any case, how come "-" hasn't been used a lot? I know it's a pain to scroll to on the 1-key on your phone, but still? www.tax-return.mobi and www.tax-returns.mobi ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/dot-mobi/249364-im-surprised-many-havent-register-names.html www.tax-refund.mobi and www.tax-refunds.mobi www.wall-paper.mobi and www.wall-papers.mobi www.bank-loan.mobi and www.bank-loans.mobi www.buy-ticket.mobi and www.buy-tickets.mobi www.we-deliver.mobi www.chicago-bulls.mobi www.naked-girls.mobi (lol - all we need is phone porn) There's tons more, be this a good or bad example, no one is really using the hyphen. Maybe once everything gets "sucked" up they will be taken.

If google makes .mobi the defualt for searches done from a mobile device then you will see a surge in the registration of hyphen .mobi domain names, as they will get to the top of the search results, until then, I don't see .mobis with a "-" having much value. I did reg p-c.mobi just in case, but I think I wasted my money on this one. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If you plan to develop a site for the mobile market, I can't see any problem using a hyphened name, such as those shown above. I am pretty sure that a domain such as mobile-phones.mobi will have a better chance of doing well in search engines results rather than any LLL/NNN.mobi. Keywords in a domain name are very important. However, if you have billions to spend on advertising and branding, your LLL/NNN.mobi could do just as well. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=249364 If you are purchasing merely for reselling, then I don't think that would be a wise choice. However, as you mentioned, there are some pretty good ones still available with the hyphen. Alex EDIT: Some hyphened .mobi names that have been regged include real-estate, travel-agent, local-search and estate-agent. ( I think these ones are very good to have regged ) |
