sub domain .oftheday.mobi

Are sub domains a real bad idea for .mobi?

I own oftheday.mobi and was thinking ...

joke.oftheday.mobi
quote.oftheday.mobi
word.oftheday.mobi
site.oftheday.mobi
etc. etc.

I am envisioning a main page for each sub category with sign-up and links to the others ... would the sub domain aspect of this hinder the potential?

Any thoughts appreciated, mike

Didnt the .mobi people mention somewhere that subdomains can't/won't be allowed to be used with mobi name ??

not sure, that's what i'm trying to figure out. but obivously they use them ...

I think they are allowed. One reason was that visitors must not have to type in www, but dont see why that affects subdomains. maybe I am wrong.
