godaddy and premium .mobi

I just registered a .mobi on godaddy. I was very suprised it was available. Over a billion results on google for this word. Over 280,000 score on overture. I thought to myself this must be on the premium list. So I checked, and it is. But godaddy let me register it anyways.

I am sure I will get an e-mail soon saying it was an error.

Just got the e-mail saying it was an error. Oh well, would have been nice. The domain was Library.mobi.

Anyway, LIBRARY is a premium name of dotMobi.

Yes, I know, but when I saw it was availalbe, I registered first, asked questions later.

Same thing happened to me.

They refunded me in about 4 days.

I guess there system must be a bit overloaded at the moment, with all the mobi's being registered.

I was checking some names and top.ws , gamble .ws came up as available too.

Even though godaddy says some names are available, some of the time they aren't, so its best to have another browser window open (http://pc.mtld.mobi/whois/index.php) as owntype said so you can double check to save the hassle of refunds.

Sometimes the opposite happens. According to mtld contact.mobi is available but you can't register it anywhere. I even e-mailed to be sure but it really is registered.

Contact.mobi was on my list while landrush, as well as host.mobi. And both of them are registered are registered by other persons, but show as available on MTLD WHOIS. But it's an error. Check it on other whois, for example, on Moniker and you will see...
