.Mobi Registrars

Where's the best place to buy .mobi domains right now, to get them secured in the shortest time?

Does anyone know the best deal going right now, I'd appreciate it.

If this is in another thread, sorry. I 'm ready to register something and want to know where to go.

Thanks

I think most of us have been going with godaddy at $29.99 a year (2 year reg required) It includes a free 5 page economy website tonight (webpage builder which is uselful if you don't know how to build .mobi sites.)

Yes, and the GoDaddy registrations get processed instantly, unlike a couple other places I've seen where it takes several minutes (sometimes longer) before they process them.

*Assuming you have an account on file.

You know, I use Idotz a lot for searching and I was so afraid I wouldn't get it, because I really wanted it, that I just used them on impulse.

Now I'm like, dammit.... I have a lot of names at GoDaddy, but I also saw on there that it said "not guaranteed" and kinda spazzed too. I've always thought Godaddy trawled the search files.

Probably should have used them though. Looks like Idotz is taking forever, think I should just go through Godaddy anyway just to get it processed by one of them? Or is Idotz pretty reliable?

My past experience with IDOTZ is that registrations are not always done on the spot, especially if you order after hours, late nights & weekends etc.

I would check the mobi whois every few minutes... http://pc.mtld.mobi/whois/index.php

And if it doesn't show up within the next 15 minutes, you might consider grabbing it at GoDaddy, if it's a name you really want badly, or fear others might be after

Good luck!

I just grabbed it at GoDaddy.

It's a name that I think would be easily developed. I'll just have to call Idotz first thing in the morning, I guess. But I have the confirmation from Godaddy

One thing I dont understand. How do you guys get a .Mobi registered now already when I read that only pre-registrations are being taken now and that the registry opens to general registrations on 11 October. I want to reg a .mobi now but it is only possible to pre-reg as this is a Landrush phase. But yet on Sedo .MOBI names are being put up for sale already.
???????????????????
Thanks

What is the cost of registering a mobi during that "ongoing registration", which begins October 11? do you have to register for a minimum of 2 years, like during pre-reg, Sunrise, and landrush?

thanks --- let's hope the mobile internet revolution is on the way!
