Just some more basic info I forgot to include in the original post: All domain names are reg. under GoDaddy.com, and all have one year left on registration (within 5 days apart, since I renewed them all around the same week).

Some nice names there. I have a few questions I hope you can clear up for me.

1.The stats provided are for 552 names, of which you are selling 336. Do you have stats for just the names you are selling?

2.Do you know the number of uniques? Am I right in assuming that if we base this soley on IP it is about 550? (including all 552 hosts)

3.Can I assume that the "requests" has not been cleaned to remove bot traffic?

4.What happened in the "daily summary" for Tuseday when requests dropped to 1?

5.Where do you come up with a figure of 100-800 typeins per day? Stats don't seem to support this.

I'm not to sure you are reading the stats correct. The "hosts served are different hosts what have visited the domains, not number of domain names hosted. Also, September 14th was the day I started tracking the stats for these domains, and only had a few fowarded by midnight. If you'll go to the Daily report page, you'll see the number of requests per day, and see that it averages about 520. As for uniques, I am not sure, and also bot traffic I do not know how to clean. Any advice would be welcomed. Thank you for your comment on the quality of these domains.

I may be reading the stats wrong. Can you confirm that only 337 names are covered by these stats? It's just that nearly half of this traffic is coming from forums like this. I need to be sure nothing else is artificially inflating the stats.

Most log analysis programmes don't clean for bot hits. This is why you have so many people getting excited about registering a name and getting a few hits in the first few days, which are invariably called “typins”. Bot background radiation averages around one visit a day for previously undeveloped sites. If the stats aren't cleaned I have the shave about 30 “typins” a month when calculating what sort of PPC I can expect.

Most stats systems are geared towards generating lots of pages of charts and graphs not kind of summary information you really want to monitor parked domains. You shouldn't have any problem finding something that will give you basic stats like uniques though. Personally I run my own software on the raw log files.

You might try parking the names with a PPC service. This is one of the best ways to provide someone looking to buy typein traffic with the information they need. The value of a domain in this market is a direct function of these stats.
