UPDATE: 9-11-08 - Please observe the NO URLs Rule - Use attachments in this forum
The auction forum rules were updated in February to provide a safe, and fair domain auction system for both buyers and sellers.
Many of the rules are being consistantly ingored despite the contract that you agree to prior to posting an auction.
The 2 most important rules being violated are :
and
and also (from the "general sales forum rules)
From this point on, violation of rule number 3 will result in having your auction deleted. You will be allowed to repost your auction as long as it complies with the auction rules.
If you have questions, comments, or need help with setting up your auction, you can review the auction forum rules below in my sig, or contact a member of the staff for help.
Great thread, and yes I did notice some "auctions" have been not abiding by the rules! Also noticed that you were on the "ball" and posted in the thread! Good work!
Thanks for the quick action. Additional request for the auction rule. I've thought that could never happen because NP members know about it but happened. Prevent posting in someone else auction to try selling. Im not sure if the rule has already applied or mentioned. Please consider the new rule if you feel needed. Thanks.
Sales crashing is not permitted, and is dealt with promptly when brought to the attention of the staff... unfortunatley there is no way to prevent crashing, so as soon as you find a violation, simply report the thread and it will be dealt with.
Please limit "self-bumps" and replies to your own auction thread to 1 every 24 hours... unless you have to answer a question. All other bumps/replies in under a 24 hours period are removed. FYI - this is a general "marketplace" rule - not just an auction forum rule.
Multi-forum auctions are not permitted here at NamePros.
I have had to void, and close a rediculous amount of auctions today... and I do not enjoy having to do this... especially if there are folks bidding on the auctions.
Each member that posts their first auction is asked to read, and agree to a certain set of rules before posting their first auction - I highly recommend that you actually read these rules... because from now on.. rather than just voiding and closing the auction... I will issue warning points for violating the auction rules, and I will then void and close the auction.
I will consider reopening closed threads if a)the auction at the other venue is closed, and b) the auction at the other venue has no bids... not even $1
Since it has come to our attention that asking buyers to cover Paypal fees is illegal, and against their TOS... sellers will no longer be able to request this fee.
