Do you recommend Name.com as registrar?

Hi, anyone using name.com? What is your opinion?
Do they offer free whois guard lifetime?

I have enquired with GoDaddy, it seems that although you pruchase 5+ domains for x yrs, you get free whois only for those x years. Then after those x yrs, you will need to pay for whois guard. This is tricky from them.

Basically, I want to know the following:
1) Is name.com trusted
2) is whois guard free lifetime? (unlike GoDaddy)
3) Is their service good

Thanks!

Hi wakish,

To help answer your questions:

1) Absolutely. We always put the security and needs of our customers first.

2) Currently this is free, but it's possible that we will charge for this in the future.

3) We like to think so. Again, we always put our customers first and we try to provide the best service and experience possible.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to PM us.

Best regards,

I would not trust what any registrar says completely.

But don't get me wrong. Name.com is connected with Domainsite.com and both are great. I prefer Name.com's site a little more. If you have any problems they should take care of you quickly, they always have for me the few times I needed support. I am a customer and do not work for them.

I have been with name.com for about a year now. I have not encountered a problem with them. I have about 3 long term domains with them.
