Selling a developed site. how?

When you sell a developed site. What do you do?

1.) Transfer/push the domain into their custody.
2.) So you dont give them your hosting you have now?
- Then what would you do? You would use your ftp manager/program & let the download the script?

I'm kinda unclear about this.

You would zip all the files in their respective categories and tell them to unzip and upload all the files to the respective server.

kbossons is an unknown quantity at this point
If I am developing in hopes of selling, I just use an inexpensive hosting plan and then upon the completed sale give the buyer the user/pass to everything.

If the domain is a subdomain, it still should have its own directory. In that case, you'll want to either establish it as the primary domain on the account and move the other files, or get a new, inexpensive hosting account and place it as the primary account. I agree, a direct transfer of hosting is probably best, plus you can throw in free 30 day hosting, which might help.

Yes, but I think the question related to a multi-domain hosting account, and, in that case, it's necessary to move some FTP files before handing over the account details.

Just create an FTP account for the specific directory.

Send them the MYSQL database yourself.

Send them the domain name and the files of the website if you are selling the website. you may be abl;e to transfer your hositng to them but that is normally not required

Exactly. If you only give them access to the one directory, then they can't touch any of your other websites.
