I registered a domain at 1 company, and registered for web hosting at another. How can I set my domain up? Sowrie, I am new at this. And then do I set my FTP up at the hosting service, or with the domain service? Thanks much

You will need to set your nameservers to those of the hosting company.

Welcome to NamePros.

If you bought a domain and you have a hosting account at another company, then you'll have to find out what the nameservers are from your hosting company. Then you have to sign into your account where you have your domain and change the nameservers for that particular name.

As far as the FTP question goes, you can use about any FTP client out there to upload your files for the website. Another option would be to use the file manager that's in cpanel if that's the kind of hosting you have, however using FTP would be much easier and quicker. An example of an FTP client is SmartFTP. You can also do a search on Google as well to find one you like. To use one, you just use your username and password for your hosting account and enter in the domain as well, it's very simple to learn.

I wish you the best of luck and if you have anymore questions, then just ask.
