Sorry, I feel like I'm spamming now.. Final question.
Hey guys and girls.. Sorry to trouble you again, but I have a final question.
I am about to sell my first domain name on ebay (1 hour to go in the auction) and I thought I'd better be prepared for the transfer of the domain name.
It was registered through a website called speedydomainregistration.com and I am wondering how to transfer the name to the other user. Will he/she have to be registered with the same company. All I can see when I go to the transfer screen is a box to transfer to a user. Does that mean that person requires an account with the same website that I created the domain name?
If he doesn't want to open an account with speedydomainregistration.com he can also initiate a transfer in order to transfer the domain to the registrar of his/her choice (and pay, of course, the tranfer fees).

yes, that would be pushing the domain to another user on that site, or the buyer can transfer it to a different registrar but that will cost them $$ but will add another year onto the domain, its up to the buyer, if he decides that he wants to transfer to a different registrar then make sure you unlock the domain, then the buyer will initiate the transfer from the registrar that he wants to move the domain to
I put the details on the auction part of namepros, however I did something really silly when I put it on ebay, and forgot to make it available worldwide, so unforetunately it did not get as much interest as it should have, since I am in Australia.
Not to worry, I am still most happy with the result
congratulations..
maybe next time you will make $50 ;')
just a note,
try to register domains with well known registrars such as namecheap, godaddy, enom etc,etc.. as most people have accounts with them
Thank you. I have just registered a new domain name (one that I'm pretty happy with!) at godaddy. I am waiting for the ebay sale of abargainprice to go through so that I have the money to buy the .net for the same domain... I wish he'd hurry up and pay already!!! LOL
