hello, i have a question about escrow services. I have come to an agreement with someone to sell my domain. However, every escrow service I've found works like this:
1. he sends money to escrow
2. I transfer domain to him
3. escrow service verifies WHOIS database to see that i transfered
4. escrow releases money to me
part 3 is where i'm concerned. Couldn't he simply make the registration private and claim he never got the domain?
Try sedo escrow. They receive both the domain and the funds, and should have the industry connections to help you in case something goes wrong with the transfer.
I've never escrowed a domain but Escrow.com works very well for other matters. They are prompt when responding to questions so you might ask them that "what if" question.
ues moneybookers is stable payment system I'm using it from about a year ,
very fast money transfers ... from my bank to my MB account or MB in my bank account
and thet have escrow service

what do they actually charge?
i.e. a 100 euros (or dollar whatever) domain price would cost how much to the seller and/or the buyer?
Do they check the whois and release the funds? or do they take control of the domain and then release the funds?
For a mexican client, moneybookers did not process the paperwork they had requested for the escrow service (credit card photocopies, id, and even driving licence!. It took forever, after weeks, we (buyer and seller) decided to go through PayPal... so still curious if moneybookers is allergic to Mexico or something? They didn't look very serious to me, but... perhaps it works ok for other countries. They didn't even explain why it took ages...
(the PayPal payment went ok from Mexico, and I'm not sure Mexico is on the short list of supported countries... Anyway, it went OK)
