What is considered a "reg" fee when setting price for a domain?

Hi:

This may be a doltish question, but as I review the domain appraisal forum, I often see the suggestion for one to set a given domain at a "reg" fee? But what is the standard "reg" fee in the domain selling area? Kindly advise. Thank you.

$8.95+/-, IMHO (based on my own personal cost at my Enom Reseller account)!

Other folks have different prices / ranges ... generally speaking?
Thanks.

Depends on extension and registrar, for .com/.net/.org $6.75-10, for other extensions reg fee may be considerably higher.

The registration fee that the registar charged. Example, if I registered www.randomdomain.com from 1and1.com and paid 5.99 for it. Then you wanted it, so I would charge you $25 + reg fees, for a total of $30.99.

Hope you understand.

In general, appraisals of $0 to "Reg fee" indicate it may be difficult to sell your domain for more than what it costs to register a new one. Actual registration fees vary from $6.95 to $35, which is why I prefer the term "no premium value".

For example if we are valuating a domain where there are similar quality names still readily available for registration, I would consider it to have no premium value over registration fee.
