![]() | Are those Sedo sales for real? I've noticed some of the auctions on Sedo, and some sale date from DN Sales that shows high sale amounts for names that i would have thought were not that good. Are these sales for real? For example, apparantly MyStore.me sold for $7k. Thoughts? |

Also, some sales announced at Sedo may not complete. But the results could still be indexed in Dnsaleprice etc even though they are not real.

![]() | A lot of the really high sales tend to be to end users who are willing to pay a lot more. Personally the name - mystore.me isn't one I'd take but mystore.com would be. All depends on the buyer & sedo is a very trustworthy marketplace so their sales are true.

You can't put true in quotes if they are trustworthy. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/742855-are-those-sedo-sales-for-real.html I'd go with "not trustworthy" but "true" (some of the time). Allegedly.

![]() | Sorry didn't mean to confuse. Now that I look at it, I didn't say it right. I believe Sedo to be a trustworthy source. But like sdsinc said they're kind of all over the place and not consistent especially when looking at brandables and 4L & 5L names. So the results are real and true but might not be consistent when looking at pricing your own names. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Afaik dnjournal only publish sales if they have seen evidence that the domain was paid for. So sometimes you see a sale on Sedo that does not appear on dnjournal and so the transaction was possibly not completed. One auction ending above $5k was seen on Sedo but not dnjournal and the domain actually dropped later. Since auctions are public anyone can see what price a domain finished at, even if the sale never completes.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Also...... Many of these sales are thought to be "registry financed" and/or "money laundering" transactions. The former boosts registrations and increases domain speculation while the latter serves as a money washing function when illicit cartels need to move and clean money. The best way to tell is to wait a few months after the sale and see if the domain is still parked. IMO.
