![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | When is the best time to try to sell a domain name? If you have a domain name on a new technology, when is it best to sell? When the technology first comes out, or after the technology is well established? For example, if you have a domain name about computer tablets, do you sell now - or do you wait until the technology saturates the market? Hope this question makes sense |

If you get an offer that makes you jump with joy, sell it quick! But if it is something like "electric cars" then it may make sense to wait. But for other things that may not last as long, like "computer tablets", I would not wait unless you think "computer paper" or "computer implants" will never happen. :-)

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It's an art. Wait as much as possible until the technology is established, but you never know when it may suddenly look obsolete. Keep a close eye on the technology and anything that might dethrone it so you know ahead of the crowd. You want to sell it before it starts to look dated, but you don't want to shortchange yourself by selling too soon. I have this issue with any tech domain. That's why I don't like them! |
